The check-in experience felt lacking with unfriendly staff!!! Noise from the surrounding area can disrupt your stay. Some decor choices seem off and fail to enhance the overall feel of the place!!!

The carriage restaurant had a lovely setting, and we really enjoyed the grounds, particularly the parts we could access. Our King Room with Balcony was a charming retreat, blending southern charm perfectly!

Now, while the scenic views were nice, the noise from the road and trucks was a nuisance, especially for light sleepers. Plus, we'd expected a better breakfast buffet. it was more of a letdown than a feast.

what a disappointment! the bungalows were way too far from the actual house, and the road noise? don’t even get me started. after paying $400, i thought a complimentary gesture woudl ve been nice, but no special treatment in sight. the whining children from weddings outside were just the cherry on this underwhelming cake. i almost gave a good review, but just couldn’t.

The complimentary breakfast featuring grillades and grits impressed us greatly. However, the cottage faced the road, causing some traffic noise during early morning hours.

During my stay, I appreciated the stunning gardens that added an air of elegance to the property. Being so close to Houmas House and Gardens made exploring incredibly easy, just a short walk away. The ambiance during breakfast was great, and I was especially impressed by how well the staff attended to the details.

I tell ya what, them gardens is somethin’ else, even better when the sun goes down. Breakfast was like heaven on a plate, and the restaurant food? Just a treat! Our cottage was mighty fine, too, but that road noise in the mornin’ could wake the dead. Overall, a real good time for us!

Our stay at the estate was wonderful! The property is only 28 miles from the Theatre Baton Rouge, which made it easy for us to catch a family show. Plus, the soaking tub was heaven for some relaxation after a busy day!

In my wife’s opinion, it would be great to have some snacks and drinks available for families late at night.

staying at inn at houmas house estate exceeded my expectations. the breakfast selection was fantastic, and the grounds were beautiful, perfect for exploring local history. the staff was attentive, and the room was clean and comfortable, making our visit truly memorable.

This was a top selection for a brief stop-in in Darrow with attractive and competitive value for money. The soaking tub in our room was a delightful surprise after a long trip. Opt for a room that’s away from the road for a quieter stay.

The room was spacious with great air conditioning. Only issue was weak Wi-Fi.

Additionally, while staff service was generally excellent, a delay in ice delivery later in the evening stood out.

Staying at Inn At Houmas House Estate exceeded expectations. The spacious double room provided a comfortable environment, and the stunning gardens added elegance to the property. Breakfast was fantastic, with a great buffet selection, perfect for starting the day. The golf cart service to dining areas was a thoughtful touch, enhancing the overall experience significantly.
